Daniel graduated from UCLA with a BS and a MPA from NYU, Dan (also known as ‘DTM’ for ‘Dan The Man’) has worked with New York Presbyterian, Healthfirst as a senior financial analyst, and is currently at Amerigroup as Manager of Clinical Informatics. With a career in numbers and analysis, his non-work life comprised of service to his community and the launch of Reveal NYC in 2006 where a group of men at a local church decided to love women radically on Valentine’s Day.
Years later, Dan married an amazing woman who thrives in the non-profit sector helping ethnic communities and consulting other nonprofit organizations. Dan continues to serve Reveal as the Director of Finance where he accounts for all of Reveal’s fundraising benchmarks, accounting & strategy.
Did you know that men can serve women and redefine strength for the good? At Reveal, Dan has devotedly volunteered at Reveal’s Valentine’s Day Ultimate Makeovers as a host for the women. One of our favorite memories was Valentine’s Day 2009 when a woman Dan was hosting, completely ecstatic about her ‘new runway look’, exclaimed to Dan after looking at a professional portrait, that she should be featured on the cover of a magazine. Dan was speechless, encouraged & deeply inspired from the women’s uplifted spirits. The women’s lovely glow & transformative joy were contagious in the room that was filled love and awe that year.
Reveal not only celebrates beauty & dignity for women recovering from abuse and sex exploitation, but also introduces women to male volunteers who genuinely care for the women whether that are hosting during the Valentine’s Day Ultimate Makeover or teaching women basics in fashion/health & wellness during our monthly Self-Care Program.
