Meet Jordan: Fashion Designer Extrordinaire

Scoop on Jordan: Love + Fashion

Jordan came straight from So Cal Santa Barbara to New York at 18 to begin his life as a fashion design major at Parsons School of Design. New York life was a sharp but refreshing contrast to the sunny beach culture where he grew up. It not only inspired him but rung true to where Jordan saw himself: living in one of the world’s largest culture shaping cities with endless dreams, aspirations & possibilities at his fingertips. While in school, Jordan interned at well-known design houses such as Michael Kors Collection and Isaac Mizrahi, where he was mentored and further developed his love for the fashion forward approach to luxury American sportswear.

A Reveal Fashion Co-leader, Jordan is also a fashion designer at J.Crew.

Upon graduating with a BFA from Parsons in 2006, Jordan began his career as a women’s wear designer for J.Crew where he currently designs the Tops & Outerwear  (and ladies, if you’re wearing anything that is J.Crew and has ruffles, then you are most likely wearing one of Jordan’s creations).

Jordan has impeccable taste as well as endless depth of compassion & love. He is one of those people you cannot forget who not only is a mover & shaker in his career in helping to define what is ‘beautiful’ and modern, yet also counter-culturally redefining beauty in how he chooses to love on his community and redefine fashion for women recovering from abuse & sex exploitation.

Jordan has served as a Reveal Fashion Co-Team Leader since its inception in 2006 for the annual Valentine’s Day Ultimate Makeover. From the run-way to Valentine’s Day Makeovers and monthly self-care workshops, Jordan’s eye for fashion takes a whole new dimension as he shares his passion for design &fashion. During a monthly self-care workshop, one of the rotational programs is focused on themes of fashion including basic wear from day-to-evening, business-to-weekend and practical ways to update and use what’s currently in your wardrobe or purchase at a local thrift/retail store.

We remember a time when the women would ask boldly & vulnerably questions related to their personal insecurities and Jordan has been amazing at reinforcing how fashion is merely an expression, not the definition of a woman’s beauty. He continually encourages the women that everyone can have their own personal style even on a very limited budget ; it’s more of how you wear it and put things together and how to accessorize. For a lot of the women recovering from either domestic violence or sex exploitation, Reveal tangibly helps women by providing celebrations of  beauty& dignity through extravagant Valentine’s Day Ultimate Makeovers or casual Monthly Self-Care workshops showing women that they are beautiful just as they are and that they are worthy to be loved with no strings attached.
